May was a little quiet for me here on the blog, but that’s only because two of those weeks I was off traveling in Croatia. Make sure to head over to the post I’ve linked to catch-up on the series I’ll be creating for my lovely Croatian adventures. But while you wait for that, you can browse through a recap of everything I did this past month, including weekends exploring all of the flowers blooming around the city and strolls through some of my favorite places in San Francisco.
And if you missed April, make sure to check out my photo journal from last month first. Enjoy!
A photo roundup from the month of May:
One of my favorite things about San Francisco is the springtime when all the beautiful flowers are blooming.
The streets and alleyways of Split were lovely to stroll through in the mornings when there was hardly anyone out and about yet.
I’m obsessed with these fluffy pink flowers that bloom around the Palace of Fine Arts in May.
Again, the streets of Split are quite lovely. I loved all the history and details of the city.
I told you I loved these little fluffy pink flowers, right? I’m still trying to figure out what they are! If you know, comment on the flower name in the comments below.
The beautiful blue waters and waterfalls that makeup Plitvice Lakes National Park are amazing. I can’t wait to share more about this beautiful place.
The famous Union Square even lights up with all kinds of flowers blooming underneath the palm trees.
If you’re looking for a place to stay near Plitvice Lakes, head to Rastoke. It’s about 30 minutes from the park, but it’s a beautiful fairytale village that you’ll love. I’ll be sharing more details about this village in my next Croatia post. Coming soon!
And last but not least, the amazing Croatian sunsets that said goodbye to me on my last night in the beautiful country.
Even though May was a little quite, I had one epic adventure while exploring Croatia. You can read about the first leg of my trip in Part 1 of the three-part series that will cover my entire road trip through the country. Can’t wait to share more soon!
Make sure you don’t miss it! Follow along on my Instagram or subscribe to my email newsletter, which hits your inbox every Sunday.
Let’s go places,
Sarah

The Plitvice Lakes National Park photo looks like it’s from a magazine! My favorite!
