Wow, February was such a fun month. Mostly because I started hiking again! In fact, I think I spent three Saturdays this month enjoying a long hike. Which is kind of a must when we’ve been having such beautiful weather.
On top of that, I took a fun (but quick) trip to Los Angeles for work. But don’t worry, there was some time for play, too. It was my first time in LA after all. I don’t know about you, but I love exploring new cities. It gives me energy. And Los Angeles was especially fun because I keep thinking to myself: I could totally see myself here. So who knows, maybe one day in the near future, I’ll have to change up my bio to say I’ve officially moved to LA.
But let’s not digress. Here are a few shots from this past month. Enjoy!
A photo roundup from the month of February:
Hiking at one of my favorite spots: Bon Tempe Lake.
As always, beautiful flowers blooming around San Francisco. Don’t these make you want to go somewhere tropical?
The hallways (and colors) of an old fort in San Francisco.
Hiking up Hill 88 and came upon a scene right out of Hitchcock’s The Birds.
The scene at the top of Hill 88. Beautiful, right?
Did I tell you that I have a thing for graffiti? Found this beauty on the wall of an old bunker on Hill 88.
One of the first things I did when I got to Los Angeles: Drove to Venice Beach to enjoy a stroll around the canals.
And while in Venice, you have to get a picture of the sign, too.
The Getty Museum is quite lovely, with its beautiful white architecture and reflection pools.
The sculptureĀ garden at the Getty Museum is full of little beauties like these.
The best part about the Getty: I got to see a Van Gogh painting in real life. So inspiring!
The rooftop garden at the Petit Ermitage is a must-visit if you’re in West Hollywood.
I mean, how lovely is this rooftop patio with that fabulous fireplace?
And if you’re downtown, head to the LINE Hotel and eat lunch in a greenhouse at The Commissary.
Every month I try to do something nice for myself, which usually ends up being a gloriousĀ 75-minuteĀ massage at a little place I’ve been going to for years.
Want to do an urban hike? Head out to the Coastal Trail near Lands End for a leisurely hike and great views.
Nights out in San Francisco can be pretty magical when you have sunsets like this.
That’s it, folks! Hope you loved February as much as I did. And I can’t wait to share a few more fun adventures coming up in the next three months. Especially in May, when I take a vacation to… Croatia! Yes, I finally figured out where I wanted to go this year.
Stay tuned for a sweet little adventure coming up in March. And if you think you might miss it, just sign-up for my email newsletter. IĀ send post recaps on Sundays, so it’s a little light reading from your inbox. Subscribe here.
Letās go places,
Sarah
