If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know (I hope!) that I’m a lover of beautiful landscapes. Many of my photos are of nature and sprawling scenery. And that comes from my love of the great outdoors. So anytime I travel, I’m also researching scenic outlooks or pretty hikes to take to get my dose of Mother Nature while exploring a new place.
With those scenarios in mind, I wanted to put together a gift guide full of things I would love as an outdoor lover and hiker. So, I pulled together some great products I’ve had my eye on over the last year. These gifts are perfect for someone who loves camping, beachcombing, hiking, and exploring. You can stock up on a few of these items for a gift box or as stocking stuffers in prep for the holidays.

Columbia Newton Ridge Waterproof Amped Hiking Shoe (Womens)
I have those hiking boots and love them! They are incredibly comfy, have great traction, and they’re waterproof! What more could you need? I haven’t had a long hike yet where I’ve felt like my feet were sore. I have the Elk/Mountain Red, but they also come in various colors.
Topo Designs Hiking Backpack
I love all the colorful hiking backpacks made by Topo Designs. The image is their Rover Pack, but you should also take a peek at their Mountain Pack. Made from recycled nylon, I find their backpacks stylish yet made with utility (and the environment in mind). Perfect for hiking and backpacking, they are also great as a practical commuter bag for those who love to cycle to work or school. Especially with all those compartments that could work for a laptop, water bottle, notebooks, and more!
Parks Project Insulated Water Bottle
How cute is this stainless steel water bottle with a bear? It’s the perfect companion to your hiking backpack. It would also be great for road trips, camping, and everyday use. Plus, Parks Project supports a good cause – To leave no trace when you explore our beautiful national parks that we all know and love. And that is something worth our support!

Mountainsmith Cooler
All the Mountainsmith coolers are great sizes (not too big/bulky). The Sixer, for example, boasts that it’s the perfect size for a six-pack of your favorite microbrew. I’m in! Each cooler is made with high-quality materials to ensure they’ll be around for a while. And I’m into their color schemes as well. It feels like the right amount of muted color to bring into the wild.

Green Goo Solar Goo Sunscreen
I love the small travel size of this sunscreen (a perfect stocking stuffer) and the fact that it’s chemical free and uses only all-natural ingredients. Remember: Be good to the environment while we’re on the trail. And be good to your skin, too. I’ll be a mom for a second and say, “Don’t forget the sunscreen!”. You’ll thank yourself later.
Venture Wipes Bug Defence Wipes
Being from Minnesota, you know the pain of mosquitos in the summer. All fun goes out the door when those pesky bugs start buzzing. So if you’re going hiking, backpacking, or camping, you’ll want to pack these wipes. The best part? It’s a plant-based bug repellent, so you can feel good about bringing it into the great outdoors.

Grand Trunk Start Hammock
Did you find the perfect scenic spot while out on a hike? Great! Let’s put up a hammock and stay awhile! Slow down and enjoy nature for a bit. Read a book, nap, or listen to music from the comfort of this ultralight starter hammock that is light on the backpack (and your wallet!). Even if you’re not much of a hiker, this hammock is a great addition to your favorite spot in the backyard.

Sand Cloud Towels
I’m obsessed with these pretty, ultra-soft towels. Made from 100% Turkish Organic Cotton, they come in various designs, so take your pick. But their true claim to fame is that the towels are sand-resistant and ultra-absorbent. So you can have a fun beach day and then go home without all the wet, sandy mess. The perfect gift for your beach-lovin’ besties.

HappyPicnic Picnic Backpack
Hit the trail and pack in a picnic with this cute vintage backpack. It acts like a cooler to keep your food and drinks fresh and has various compartments for all your snack, dishware, and utensil needs. Picnics always make for a lovely day with family or friends, whether in the park, woods, beach, or backyard.
(Re)active Water Bottle Sling
I’m that person that used to hike without a backpack. Eeek! So if you (or your friend) are still like me, let’s meet in the middle with this water bottle sling. When I saw this, I thought about all the hikes where my hands were full, with a water bottle and a phone. But this sling would have been perfect for my minimalist hiking lifestyle. It’s lightweight, water-resistant, environmentally friendly, AND has a side pocket for your phone or keys. I could have been hands-free that entire time!
