January Roundup: Photo Journal

Welcome to the new year! Hopefully, it started out with a bang and you’re feeling good about what’s to come! For me, January has been a month to relax, especially after the holiday rush. So, I didn’t take any travel commitments, but I did spend a lot of time unwinding and making plans for the rest of the year. As such, I feel like my round up this month isn’t too juicy, but there were still a few moments I wanted to highlight in my photo roundup.

By the way, I really try to use these roundups as a visual diary of my travels and activities for the month. You can check out all of my photo journal roundups here.

A photo roundup from the month of January:

Speaking about coming back to the city with a bang. I was in cold Minnesota for a big chunk of December, so it’s always so lovely coming back to my city by the Bay.

If you’re in town for a few days, definitely make high tea reservations at The Rotunda in Neiman Marcus. You’ll get beautiful light, yummy bites, and views of Union Square.

One of my favorite things about San Francisco is that you can turn an unassuming corner and see an awesome view of the city. This photo was taken in Nob Hill.

Another thing that I love about San Francisco. It’s always blooming! Everywhere you go, there are roses, lilies, hydrangea, poppies, and peonies.

I’ve been working on trying to take more photos each day. This one was taken at work of a pretty little orchid on our window sill. I loved the color scheme. Especially the hint of sea green in the background.

Interested in how I edit these photos? I just added an entire post about my process here. I even included before and after snaps to really show off the magic of what a little editing can do.

Hope you enjoyed my little photo journal this month. Even though it was a little light, I can’t wait to share some of the stuff I have planned for February with you! f you don’t want to miss it, subscribe to my email newsletter.
